A newsletter had a link. The link brought me to an article that didn’t exist but had some google adds on it anyway (those guys really make a fortune they are every where) Some how I got fascinated by this ad:
Far beyond meditation
Powerful, Real Experiences, Now! De-Stress, Deeply Relaxing, Healing.
Click and there was the site of Eric Pepin and his Higher Balance Institute®. I started reading. Commercially very well done! I stayed a long time on his site. Went from question to headers that looked like they were going to give the answer but of course never did to the next question and almost but not really answer. The real answer was of course that I had to buy something to get the answer.
Once in a lifetime
There are many people out there offering courses which surely give you the quickest way to nirvana. I think I have a healthy distrust against these quick solutions. They give me a Telsell.com feeling. (For those that don’t have telsell you surely have an equivalent running. Cheap info/-commer-tainment on night television for house and fitness equipment; cheap, guaranteed results, only once in a lifetime all sold with an American accent and of course with a special only once offer on top. Call now, pay later!! You cannot live without.)
I know things can go very fast but deep changes normally take more dedication and time. A toddler, who has never walked, can sit in front of the television and watch the NY marathon. This might inspire the little one to grab the table and stand-up for the first time. A very big change! His world view will change dramatically. The remote control comes in reach as do the cookies….very big rewards for just standing. (Before one of his parents put them out of reach again)
A step on a road
Standing is a necessary step before our toddler will be able to run the marathon. Running the marathon however is still a long way. It will take our toddler enormous amounts of dedication and perseverance to get to a phase in which he can run easily. Let alone finishing a heavy marathon in a decent time.
Like being a toddler having the desire to walk a lot of people feel there is more to life then they are experiencing at this moment. Like the toddler wanting the remote to changes channels, they want to get out of the movie of their life. Their life is hard, stressful and never gives them the permanent satisfaction they are longing for. They look around find inspiration and get up and get the remote. They discover that changing channels with the remote is very soon, very boring as well. No quick fix, which means that you either sit down again and stay bored or…?
You use your inspiration and your new found ability to stand up as a first step on a path. Standing leads to walking, walking to running, running with a lot of determination and practice to a nice time on the marathon of NY. Be aware that it is you that is running, it is you that has to put in all the effort, there is no money in the world that can buy you the experience of running the streets of NY yourself. You just have to do it! How can it be different for a spiritual path?
The difficulties of
reaching a big audience, offering something of value and being able to make a living your self. Eric seems also to experience this difficulty and seems therefore to offer a free E-book. In the landing page for the E-book he writes:
The knowledge in The Handbook of the Navigator is priceless and this knowledge should be available to all who truly seek it.
It has always been a tough balancing act to deliver material beyond value but require people to pay for it as a method to circulate it to the world. My heart as a teacher has always held fast to one truth — that those who posses the desire, and the thirst to awaken, should be given access to this knowledge. Despite what some people may assume this has always been my intention.
My dream has always been to share with others how to unlock the doors within their minds. It truly is as simple as that.
Of course I was quick to try the link and get the free E-book. The process worked smooth and within a few seconds I had downloaded a book of 256 pages. No thin pamphlet, but something substantial al least in size. I will have a look in the next couple of days. I hope to find inspiration for my next step,
